CEO and Founder
Saïd Ziouani has over 20 years of experience in leadership, sales and engineering. He founded Ansible Inc. in 2013, a leader in IT automation, which then Red Hat acquired in 2015. Saïd spent over 10 years at Red Hat as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, helping drive revenue to the $1B mark. Prior to Red Hat, Saïd spent eight years as a senior software developer and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in information systems from Northeastern University in Boston.
CTO and Co-Founder
Daniel Nurmi has worked primarily in designing secure, production-grade, large-scale distributed and high performance computing systems, cloud infrastructure, and applications for enterprise deployments. He most recently held the position of Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and was the Co-Founder and CTO of Eucalyptus Systems Inc. prior to acquisition by HPE. Daniel holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Zach Hill has built distributed systems and cloud storage solutions for the last 10 years ranging from scientific computing, grid computing, and cloud. He has a passion for scalable, reliable systems and making developers and operators lives easier through ease of use and transparency. He most recently managed and was an architect for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Helion Eucalyptus, an IaaS platform. Zach holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Virginia.
SVP Sales and Field Operations
Paul has spent his career building and leading commercial teams in the open source software and internet security space. He has provided leadership in sales, marketing, and business development at companies such as Red Hat, Canonical, SpringSource and Verisign. Most recently, he played a leading role in Verisign’s divestiture of its network security business unit to Neustar. Paul holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom.
Neil Levine has been building products and services with open source technologies since the mid 90s. Prior to Anchore, Neil was part of Red Hat, by way of their acquisition of Inktank, and was Director of Product Management at Red Hat responsible for storage and hyper-converged infrastructure. Neil previously served as Vice President of Enterprise Services at Canonical, the commercial sponsors of Ubuntu, and CTO of Claranet Group, the largest independent managed services provider in Europe.
Chief People Officer
Emily is responsible for leading Anchore’s people function by providing HR solutions and building HR infrastructure through people, compliance, and technology. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, team member empowerment, and career and culture development. Prior to Anchore, Emily led LogicMonitor’s HR function through hyper-growth by focusing on a people-first approach to scaling quickly and efficiently. She also spent 12 years at KPMG in a variety of roles including Human Resources, Campus Recruiting, Resource Management and Staffing, and Assurance Services.
VP Enterprise Sales
Chad Olds is passionate about building and scaling high-performance sales and marketing organizations in high growth companies. Before joining Anchore, Chad served as Head of Cloud at Software AG, driving the transformation to a SaaS-first Integration and IoT software organization. Prior to that, he led Global Sales at at Zaloni, a Data Lake integration company, and ran Global Sales for The Watson Data Platform at IBM.
Ross has spent 25 years connecting people with the technologies they love. Before joining Anchore, Ross was Vice President of Marketing and Community at Inktank, the cloud-native storage company behind Ceph. After Inktank was acquired by Red Hat, he served as Director of Product Marketing for storage and big data. Ross has a passion for the intersection between communities and companies, and was Director of Community for SourceForge.net, Talend, and Alcatel-Lucent.
VP Strategic Alliances
Before joining Anchore, Tim served as General Manager of DXC Technology’s Azure Solutions, globally delivering managed services and consulting offerings for Microsoft Azure. Prior to that, he provided executive leadership at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Eucalyptus Systems (acquired by HPE), Red Hat, and Nortel. Tim holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Board Members & Advisors
Doug has been at Menlo since 1982 focusing on investments in the information technology sector. His current board seats and investments include: Check, Drivecam, LiveOps, Cellfire, Vidyo, Nlight Photonics, and RF Surgical.
Former VP/CTO, Cisco Systems
Lew Tucker was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Cloud Computing at Cisco, where helped shape the future of cloud and enterprise software. Tucker has more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, ranging from distributed systems and artificial intelligence to software development and systems architecture.
Ilya is a co-founder at SignalFire. Before that, he provided technical leadership at Google and CardSpring. Ilya started his software engineering career at Bell Labs and Oracle, and graduated from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Computer Science and a minor in Applied Mathematics.
Andreas Von Blottniz
Andreas was President and CEO of Citrix Online, Inc. following Citrix’s acquisition of Expertcity. He served as the CEO and President at Expertcity from 1999 until the acquisition. Andreas serves as a Director of AppFolio, RightScale, Eucalyptus, LogicMonitor, Lastline and Entersekt. He was also a Director of Sonos, Inc.
