CEO and Founder
Saïd Ziouani has over 20 years of experience in leadership, sales and engineering. He founded Ansible Inc. in 2013, a leader in IT automation, which then Red Hat acquired in 2015. Saïd spent over 10 years at Red Hat as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, helping drive revenue to the $1B mark. Prior to Red Hat, Saïd spent eight years as a senior software developer and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in information systems from Northeastern University in Boston.
CTO and Co-Founder
Daniel Nurmi has worked primarily in designing secure, production-grade, large-scale distributed and high performance computing systems, cloud infrastructure, and applications for enterprise deployments. He most recently held the position of Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and was the Co-Founder and CTO of Eucalyptus Systems Inc. prior to acquisition by HPE. Daniel holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
VP Product & Marketing
Andrew Cathrow has worked in infrastructure software for over 15 years with the last 10 years spent delivering open source and open standards based solutions. He ran product management for Red Hat’s virtualization and OpenStack business unit, launching the first commercial KVM hypervisor platform and first enterprise grade Open Stack distribution. Most recently he ran an research engineering team for Verisign.
Head of Customer Success
Tim Gerla has spent more than 15 years building and selling infrastructure software including founding and leading product design at Ansible. He has served in a variety of roles including software engineering, architecture, and product leadership. Most recently he led the Ansible team as CTO until the company’s acquisition by Red Hat. Previously, Tim managed a consulting and pre-sales team at Eucalyptus, a private cloud computing platform acquired by HP. Tim holds a B.S. in Information Technology Management from the University of Minnesota.
VP Finance & Operations
Brian Weisberg has 10+ years of finance and accounting leadership experience. Most recently, he helped lead Ansible through its Red Hat acquisition. As their first finance hire, he secured a $3.5M line of credit and provided financial leadership. Before that, he helped facilitate scale at Bandwidth.com, served as an Investment Banking Analyst at TD Securities, and was a Transaction Services and Internal Audit Associate at KPMG. Brian holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a BSBA in Finance and Accounting from Boston University.
Doug has been at Menlo since 1982 focusing on investments in the information technology sector. His current board seats and investments include: Check, Drivecam, LiveOps, Cellfire, Vidyo, Nlight Photonics, and RF Surgical.
Andreas Von Blottniz
Andreas is an angel investor and advisory board member at e.ventures. Before getting into venture capital, he was the President and CEO of Citrix Online, Inc. following Citrix’s acquisition of Expertcity. He served as the CEO and President at Expertcity from 1999 until the acquisition. Andreas serves as a Director of AppFolio, RightScale, Eucalyptus, LogicMonitor, Lastline and Entersekt. He was also a Director of Sonos, Inc.
